What is MedReach?

MedReach is first-and-foremost an online learning platform providing fair and equal access to world-class continuing medical and nursing education. We pick the best education in healthcare and make it available to all. We also invest time, money and resources to share this, and other support, with low-resource countries.

Sign up for our courses, conferences and tutorials and:

  • save money (avoiding the time, cost and environmental impact of conference travel).

  • learn flexibly (watching at whatever time and pace you like, as many times as you like).

  • benefit from enhanced features (time-stamped note-taking; saved summaries of learning; exportable CPD certificates; discussion forums; and others to follow).

  • make a difference (helping us contribute to healthcare learning and delivery in developing areas).

I don’t see any courses relevant to me. Will more be added?

Yes. We’ve begun with courses and conferences primarily focused on critical care, as a topic with wide relevance. We’ll be adding more and more in the months to come — so keep an eye on our course listings and follow our newsletter so we can keep you updated on all our developments.

Are your courses CPD/CME accredited?

Yes they are! Our courses are certified by The CPD Certification Service (cpduk.com), a global Continuing Professional Development body recognised in all European countries, UAE, USA, Thailand, Philippines, India, Africa, Australia and Canada.

We have also applied to be a CE provider with the California Board of Registered Nursing.

We’re a global project and are working to accommodate the requirements of health professionals from all countries around the world. So please be patient as we navigate this complex issue. If you have particular needs, please email us at cpd@medreach.org. We’re happy to investigate ways we can help.

Please note that our platform’s inbuilt note-taking function collects a summary of learning for your course or tutorial. This can be exported along with a certificate which should satisfy most Type 2/Category 2 credit requirements.

You advertise world-expert education. How do you vet quality?

We only include learning delivered by people considered true experts in their field. This is guaged through career experience, peer testimony and industry approval. All of our contributors are health professionals with many years of experience.

We welcome your thoughts on any of our learning at feedback@medreach.org

Some medical education is free – why do you charge?

Some MedReach resources, including our podcast, are free; but it’s impossible to deliver the highest quality of platform and content at zero cost.

We also believe in giving back to those who need additional support. Charging modest fees allows us to deliver content free to those who really need it (low-income countries), in formats they can consume, while supporting impactful projects in poorly resourced areas.

Our pricing system is tiered to match World Bank categories. Health professionals are charged a modest price in high-income countries, a low price in middle-incomes countries and access is free for health professionals from low-income countries.

Couldn’t I just log-in as a user from a lower-paying country?

You could. But we hope you won’t!

Your dashboard will be personalised to match the job and country-of-residence information you provide*. Some content will be language-specific, and/or in a format to suit the relevant country’s infrastructure. To make sure you can access what you need, we recommend that your login details are correct.

We reserve the right to request proof of residence from our users. If you have signed up incorrectly and cannot provide evidence on request within two weeks, we reserve the right to cancel your membership and delete your stored information (notes, certificates etc).

*Your country can only be assigned at the point of joining.

Should you wish to change your country, you’ll need to contact MedReach and justify this request.
